Describes the process to test the “chatter” in the rotary valve in the CI-340

To test the “chatter” in the rotary valve in the instrument.

  1. First remove the back of the instrument so you can see the internal components.
  2. Then power on the CI-340.
  3. Then press SHIFT, SHIFT, SHIFT, 1 and the rotary valve should move as shown in this video (zzzzip, zzzzip every 1 second approximately)
  4. If the screw shown below that attaches the rotary valve is disconnected, then the noise is a much longer zzzzzzzzzziiipppp sound, every few seconds
