How do I adjust the brightness or contrast of the CI-600/602 images using the RootSnap software?
Once the desired images have been taken with the CI-600/602, use our RootSnap analysis software on the included tablet or a separate PC to begin image adjustment or calculating parameters that include root length, area, volume, diameter, and branching angle.
The image brightness tool in RootSnap enables adjustment of the brightness of the root image and evenly makes pixels brighter or darker. Brightness should be changed until it is just
above the point where all roots are distinguishable from the surrounding soil.
Brightness, contrast and other photo-editing parameters can be adjusted using a third-party software, such as Photoshop.
