CI-600 Driver Installation after Canoscan Device Issue

Installation of CI-600 driver if Canoscan device conflict while installing

TO INSTALL CI-600 DRIVER ON TO COMPUTER:

(** first make sure the previous version is uninstalled before trying to install new driver **)

Disable the Driver Signature Enforcement for Windows 10.
    1. Click the Start  menu and select Settings.
    2. Click Update and Security.
    3. Click on Recovery.
    4. Click Restart now under Advanced Startup.
    5. Click Troubleshoot.
    6. Click Advanced options.
    7. Click Startup Settings.
    8. Click on Restart.
    9. On the Startup Settings screen press 7 or F7 to disable driver signature enforcement.

Connect the CI-600 to the computer via USB cable  (The computer will show message indicating the CanoScan device is being setup, which is OK)

Open the device manager.  Make sure the CanoScan device is shown (as pictured below).

Open the CI-600 Root Image Software that is installed on your computer.


Using the CI-600 Root Image Software, go to Advanced>Install Driver (as pictured below

Select “yes” then you should see the install wizard and then select “next”

You will see a windows error, and then select “install this driver software anyway” (pictured below)

The CI-600 will be updated, and you will see the below message from Windows.  You can select "Finish"

You should now see the CI-600 listed in the device manager in windows and the driver should be installed so that CI-600 works properly. (contact CID Support if needed)
