Differences in the photosynthesis measurement options on the CI-340:

Absolute single channel (S) - gas concentration only measured coming from the INLET of the 340; it is then compared against the absolute gas concentration measured at calibration differential.

Photosynthesis (P) - measures gas concentration before entering the chamber and after leaving the chamber; obtains gas concentration measurements from both the chamber and the instrument intake continuous.

Continuous (C) - gas concentration only measured from the INLET of the 340 and then from the OUTLET of the 340; this should only be used if the leaf chamber and the incoming gas is very stable.
