CI-203 battery storage recommendations

Full cycles of the CI-203 battery (full discharge and recharge) are good for the battery and can sustain the long-term life of the battery. However, there is a difference between a full discharge and a deep discharge that can occur from leaving the battery for extended periods of time in a discharged state. This deep discharge status is bad for battery life and can permanently damage the battery. If leaving the leaf area meter in storage for a period of time, you should maintain the charge, or allow cycles of discharge and recharge, but do not leave it fully discharged for a length of time. It should also be noted that we cycle the battery at our facility before sending it out with our products.
