CI-710s Data Explained
Describes what metric the CI-710s measures and which variables are calculated from that metric.
The 710s measures reflectance and absorbance directly by the spectrometer. Absorbance is a calculated parameter derived from reflectance and transmittance measurement. When taking a measurement in Reflectance mode, the Mode listed in the Measurement.csv file will be labeled “Reflectance” When taking a measurement in Transmittance mode, the Mode listed in the Measurements.csv file will be labeled “Transmittance” When taking a measurement in Absorbance mode, the Mode(s) listed in the Measurements.csv file will be labeled “Absorbance”, “Abs Reflectance” and “Abs Transmittance”. The “Abs” preceeding the Reflectance and Transmittance label simply mean those parameters were scanned in order to calculate an absorbance value. Absorbance is measured in OD (Optical Density), Reflectance and Transmittance are measured in percent (%).
